Pantothenic Acid
Helps maintain energy level*
Promotes digestive health*
Supports the adrenal glands*

Pantothenic acid is part the vitamin B complex, and also goes by the name vitamin B5. Like the other water soluble members of the B complex, excess B5 is excreted from the body, so it must be replenished daily. Pantothenic acid aids in energy metabolism, as do the other B vitamins, but also plays key roles in the production of healthy fats and red blood cells, and in regulating a healthy digestive tract.*

Pantothenic acid assists in the breakdown of carbohydrates and fats, making usable energy for various reactions and functions in the body. But B5 also helps with the synthesis of healthy fats for normal physiological processes. Both fatty acids and cholesterol require B5 in the manufacturing process.

Pantothenic Acid is also needed for adrenal function. The production of sex and stress hormones require vitamin B5.

Some of the B vitamins depend on the each other for proper functioning. Adequate amounts of Pantothenic acid help the functionality of vitamin B2. Conversely, there must be sufficient amounts of vitamin B12, folate, and biotin for the body to properly use vitamin B5.
